Join Clarissa Mae and Betsy Workman in the Black Hills for an afternoon of remembrance, reflection, and connection as we gather in honor of Samhain, the final harvest and a powerful threshold in the Wheel of the Year.
Samhain marks the transition into the darker half of the year, a time traditionally associated with honoring those who came before us, tending the wisdom of our lineages, and releasing what has completed its season.
Held on private land outside Custer, we’ll begin with a mindful nature walk, allowing the land and changing season to guide us inward. Together, we’ll share ceremonial cacao and create a communal ancestral altar, inviting each participant to contribute an offering or act of remembrance for those they wish to honor.
As afternoon moves toward dusk, we’ll settle into an immersive sound journey before gathering our voices in a simple song circle and closing around the fire in remembrance, reflection, and release. No singing experience is required, just a willingness to listen, participate, and be together.
Our afternoon will include:
Nature walk • Ceremonial cacao • Ancestral altar • Sound journey • Song circle • Fire ritual
You are invited to bring a small photograph, natural object, written remembrance, or other meaningful item to place on our communal altar during the gathering.
