Forest, Fire, & Flow: A Midsummer Morning Celebration
Date: Saturday, August 2nd
Time: 8 AM – 12 PM
Location: Custer, SD - on private land
Cacao · Fire · Sound · Nature · Community · Stillness
Join Betsy Workman and Clarissa Mae in the forest for a soulful midsummer morning of fire, cacao, movement, and sound.
In celebration of Lughnasadh—the first harvest—we’ll gather in community to honor the turning of the wheel with intention, embodiment, and connection to the land. This fire ceremony welcomes us to the halfway point between the Summer Solstice and the Autumnal Equinox.
Rooted under the shelter of Black Hills trees on private land outside Custer, our morning begins with a meditative nature walk inviting clarity and release. We’ll share sacred cacao and sound throughout the morning, moving our bodies in rhythm with the natural elements.
We’ll co-create a beautiful fire to open the heart and awaken our voices. Through drumming, gentle movement, and voice activation, we’ll stir the fire within, celebrating life’s ripening energy as summer peaks.
Come to move, listen, drum, sing, and remember you belong to nature and each other.
