  • A Full Moon is the apex of the Moon Cycle and is the perfect time to release stagnant energies. The Full Moon represents the exhalation as the moon will now shift into its waning stage. Take time to focus on your growth from the New Moon in the same zodiac sign six months prior. Give yourself space to identify what is no longer serving you in a positive way so you can actively release it. Use the light of the Full Moon to illuminate your dreams and desires. Think about what you are doing to work towards them?

  • Full Moon Rituals:

    1. Bathe in the moonlight by going outside and allowing it to soak into your skin

    2. Take a hot bath with Epsom Salt using moon water from the last Moon phase with some essential oils like Lavender, Frankincense, Rose or Geranium.

    3. Charge water or crystals under the moonlight and use them in your meditations, Oracle readings, or carry them with you.

    4. The Full Moon is a time to release. Try a fire ceremony writing down things you'd like to release and burn them.

    5. Sing, dance, or do a Moon Yoga Flow outside under the moonlight to release stagnant energy in the body.

    6. Likewise, clear out stagnant energy in your home, by lighting sage or palo santo and allow the smoke to clear out old energy. Open windows after to allow new energy in.

    7. Focus on what has shown up for you in support of your dreams through journaling or meditation.

    5. Transformational - uninterrupted full and relaxed breath, circular breathing, no pause between inhale and exhale, in and out through the mouth

    6. Wim Hof - activating, 30-40 breathing through mouth, out through mouth, emphasis on hold and how long you can hold at the end of a cycle

    2. Bottom Hold - grounds the energy into the Earth

  • Trauma Informed:

    1. Safety - facilitator feels safe and creates a safe space for others

    2. Grounding & Orienting - physically grounding and feeling our weight, using props to amplify, orienting to a sense of time and space to connect to here and now

    3. Empowerment -  encourage people to listen to themselves, self-consent, autonomy, and agency

      1. Titration and Agency - pushing past resistance can cause re-traumatization, empower practitioners to set their own boundaries

        1. To expand our window of tolerance/capacity we have to meet our edge while anchored in safety, here and now, and then see that we can meet our edge a little further out, helps build capacity over time.

      2. Informed Consent - give breathers enough information to make a choice for themselves about how far to go

      3. Invitational language - “I invite you to, you are welcome to…”

    4. Pacing - breathers choose the right pace for them

    5. Connection - attuning to the needs of body
